The 2009 CAIMS*SCMAI Arthur Beaumont Distinguished Service Award was presented to Professor William F. Langford, University of Guelph in recognition of his lifelong devotion to the well-being of Applied Mathematics in Canada, his mentorship of young researchers and his outstanding service to the Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society.
